David Wakhu managed the clinch victory at the Kenya Open Golf Limited Safari Tour Pro’s event hosted at Nyali where he played 6 under at the par 71 course. Golf Park’s Wakhu was third tying with Rizwan Charania and Greg Snow of Muthaiga at 6 over par as at the end of round three.
Dismas Indiza came in second position with a total of 287 after four rounds. Indiza was at the peak at the end of the third round after playing 5 under par but lost out when he played 4 over par in the last round.
In third place was a tie between Rizwan Charania and Royal’s Erick Ooko with a total of 288 at the end of four rounds. Rizwan played 2 under par in the fourth round while Erick played 1 over par.
The professional event also harboured four elite amateurs from Nyali, George Munyao, Kelly Rob. William Kaguta and Adel Balala made the cut and William going on to win the amateur prize. Kaguta played 77, 76, 77, 72 to earn an overall position 13 out of 22 tying with Jacob Okello and James Karanja with a total of 302. Adel Balala finished in 18th position with a total of 304 after the four rounds.
The safari tour is headed to Vet-Lab Sports Club for the second leg as from Sunday 2nd to Wednesday 5th of September with the Pro-Am scheduled for Saturday 1st September, 2018.
