Africa Junior Golf Championship 2014

This years Africa Junior Golf Championship is being held at Chainama Hills Golf Club in Lusaka has attracted 16 countries including: Kenya, Botswana, Kenya, Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Last year it was held in Mauritius where Kenya came 5th behind South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Uganda.
Kenya’s national junior golf team flew out on Saturday morning for Lusaka, Zambia to participate in the 2014 Africa Junior Golf Championship at the Chainama Hills Golf Club on Sunday.
The team of four players and coach, was named early this month by the Junior Golf Foundation (JGF) a subsidiary of the Kenya Golf Union (KGU). All the four players are from Nyali Golf and Country Club. They are; Daniel Nduva, Tahir Mohammed, Matthew Wahome and Adel Balala. Leading the team is Taufiq Balala and Coach/Trainer veteran Charles Farrar.
Three of them, Daniel Nduva, Mathew Wahome and Adel Balala were in the national senior team which came fifth in last week’s Africa Zone Six Championship at the Devonvale Golf and Wine Resort in Stellenbosch South Africa.
The fourth-placed Tahir Mohammed was not in South Africa but he is not new in international events having featured in the triangular event between Kenya, Zimbabwe and Namibia in Zimbabwe last year.
